We are delighted to be screening Finding Camille with the director Bindu de Stoppani hosting Q&A's at both Kino Rye and Kino Bermondsey. This witty comedy-drama is Bindu's second feature, first screening at the 12th Rome Film Fest and continuing to show at festivals all round the world. Bindu is an accomplished actress, writer and director and has set up her own theatre and film companies and it will be a fascinating evening.
When dutiful and loyal Camille decides to go on a road trip down memory lane with her Alzheimer’s suffering father, she must learn to let her father go or risk losing her own chance at a life and happiness. Finding Camille is the moving and at times heart-breakingly humorous story of a father and daughters’ journey to get to know each other and the opportunities that life gives you to live for the moment, embracing love, adventure and happiness.

Starring Anna Ferzetti, Luigi Diberti, Nicola Mastroberardino, Alessandro Tedeschi, Tatiana Winteler, Elena Aglaja Amadò and Bindu Stoppani.

In English and Italian with subtitles

Bindu de Stoppani trained as an actress at the acclaimed Drama Centre London, graduating with a degree in Acting and then went on to study Film Writing & Directing at City University, Raindance and the London Film School. On graduating she landed a part in Danny Boyle’s The Beach, later working with Danny again in 28 Days Later. In 2001 Bindu founded a theatre company before writing and directing short films.

Her experience as an actress and then as a theatre/short films director, led her to write and direct her first feature film called Jump which went on to win
five Awards at the British Independent Film Festival in London in 2012, including Best Director and Best Feature Film. Finding Camille is her second feature film.
